  • Developing policies and procedures for programs, communities, systems and government agencies. 

  • Developing targeted response, which could include an assessment, protocol development, identifying resources, and conducting trainings to assist programs, communities, systems, and government agencies with federal law and regulation implementation, including the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Federal Fair Housing Act, McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act/Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing Act (HEARTH Act) programs, specifically Continuums of Care and Emergency Solutions Grants.

  • We employ a holistic approach to understanding program, community, system and government agency needs. The approach is catered to the specific needs of the stakeholders and can include:

    Assessment/Survey

    • Develop community assessment and systems surveys, honing in on system-wide process strengths and challenges for a range of respondent groups identified in partnership with the program, community, system, and/or government agencies.  

    • Develop strategy for distribution and messaging/communication for respondent groups;

    • Analyze survey results; and develop recommendations.

    Pre-survey Interviews

    • Developing targeted questions and conduct one-on-one interviews with a range of stakeholders, including people with lived experience, direct service staff, and administration

    Post-survey Interviews

    • Developing targeted questions and conduct one-on-one interviews with survey respondents

    These interviews will be used to gain a deeper understanding of specific trends and data.

  • Our listening sessions include:

    • Identifying target audiences;  

    • Developing listening session questions and facilitate sessions;

    • Analyzing survey results; and developing recommendations.

  • Drafting a full report capturing quantitative and qualitative data results and recommendations from the assessment, systems surveys, deep dive interviews and/or listening sessions. 

  • Public policy and  advocacy spans the federal, state, and local level. Approach could include:

    • Developing and/or implementing legislative and administrative strategy to address identified public policy issues;

    • Drafting legislation or policy;  

    • Advising on partnerships and collaborations;

    • Developing and implementing community mobilization effort.

  • Developing a logic model framework, with targeted goals, objectives and activities. 

  • We provide custom research and evaluation services to government agencies, Continuums of Care, victim service providers, foundations, and other community partners committed to ensuring safe housing and services for survivors. We apply diverse research methods that elicit data with depth, context, and generalizability to produce findings that help communities identify existing promising practices, strengths, resources, and areas for growth and policy recommendations. We combine our research, programming, and policy expertise to create research reports that are actionable and impactful for our partners and their communities.
